Yes, this year’s conference has a new name.
It is still organised by the same group, the peripheral hospitals emergency medicine conference.
But speakers, sponsors and delegates all felt that we should not suggest we are excluding those from teaching hospitals.
There are a couple of improvements to the format that followed feedback from the last conference in Shoal Bay. The conference will cover four days, with a return to opening with a welcome reception and Horizon lecture on Tuesday afternoon. There will be entertainment for children during this time. Wednesday is packed with interactive learning opportunities and a partners/family program will be in place. Thursday will be a little shorter so for the first time the golfers should be able to finish in daylight. The conference dinner on Thursday night will be at Old Parliament House. Friday will have a slightly later start and be a morning only to allow delegates to rejoin their families for the weekend. |
